Description

Our beautiful Chalet La Source du Bonheur is located on the banks of the Mékinac River in St-Joseph de Mékinac (Trois-Rives). In the heart of the Mauricie region, 1h00 from Trois-Rivières and 2h30 from Montreal and Quebec City, it is the ideal place to recharge your batteries and spend unforgettable moments with family or friends!

The cottage offers 3 closed bedrooms and can accommodate up to 8-10 people*, perfect for 1-2 families or 3 couples.

Enjoy an outdoor spa accessible all year round (4-5 places) with a breathtaking view of the majestic Mékinac River. Relax in the comfort of our gazebo, where you can enjoy delicious meals away from mosquitoes.

The outdoor fire pit (logs included) is perfect for spending beautiful evenings in a friendly atmosphere. In summer, embark on our tubes for an unforgettable descent of the river for about 400 meters (depending on the water level).

The cottage is located only 1.5 km from ATV and snowmobile trails!!

Water is not drinkable until further notice. Water canisters are at your disposal.

The twin bunk bed has a weight limit of 200 pounds each.

NO CELL PHONE AT THE COTTAGE. **To activate your WIFI calls and be able to use your cell phone at the cottage to make calls, make sure that the option is activated in your cell phone settings. To do so, you need to be connected to a cellular network and WIFI, so check this before your stay. **

River tubes are available from mid-June to mid-October.

Refundable Security Deposit: $600

The person making the reservation must be 25 years or older.

A minimum of 2 nights is required at all times. A 3-night minimum may be required during long weekends, holiday weeks, and construction periods.

DOG POLICY:

We accept dogs under certain conditions and only with our permission. Dogs must be over 1 year old.

Additional fees: between $50-$75 per stay.

RESERVATION TERMS:

For any reservation request, a 30% (non-refundable) deposit of the total stay amount will be required. The final payment (including the $600 security deposit) must be made 30 days before taking possession of the chalet.

LATE RESERVATION: For bookings made less than 30 days before the rental period, full payment will be required at the time of booking. No credits will be issued for early departures.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking OR if made 90 days before the start of the stay.

Cancellations made between 90 and 30 days before the start of the stay, the 30% deposit is non-refundable.

Cancellations more than 14 days before the arrival date, 50% of the total reservation amount will be non-refundable.

Cancellations less than 14 days before the arrival date, 100% non-refundable, only the $600 security deposit will be refunded.

When you've made your choice, a few common sense tips before you send money

It is important to speak orally to the owner or manager of the accommodation and validate the phone number on the web.
Ideally, the deposit should not exceed 20 to 30% of the total rental amount
The balance should be paid upon delivery of the keys
Prefer payment by credit card (easier to cancel and / or trace)
If you are paying by Interac, be sure to send the money to the correct recipient.

Finally, if you receive an email from a different person or from an agency you have never contacted suggesting another chalet, be very vigilant and do not follow up if you have any doubts.
